GCSE Media – iMovie, Photoshop. I also made short videos as a hobby, so I was more confident with the software. Writing, editing and time management skills.
A level Media – Final cut pro, Photoshop, Professional camera. I made multiple magazines, posters and a horror film trailer. Leadership, creativity, camera and organisation skills.
NTU Media – Premiere pro. I made a short video in 1st year, an aural postcard and a documentary about Coronavirus. Resilience, planning, teamwork and patience skills.
Skills to be improved:
- Having a clear understanding of what we need to accomplish and ensuring our ideas are strong and well planned.
- I’d also like to improve on my editing skills as I’m still unfamiliar with some of premiere pro’s features.
- Becoming more confident by putting my ideas forward and having more input in the team.
Teamwork qualities:
- I enjoy working in team because group projects encourage creativity, and everyone’s skills are blended together to achieve success.
- I think I am a good team member as I am well-organised, have good time management and I always try to stay resilient when things get tough.
Pitch script:
Hi, I’m Summer. I think I am a good team member as during group projects I am always well-organised, I have good time management and I always try to stay resilient when things get tough. I started off using iMovie and Photoshop when I done GCSE Media and I also made short videos as a hobby. From this I gained basic video editing and management skills. I also have skills in Final Cut Pro and Photoshop from a level media where I had to make a horror film trailer. From this I learnt how to stay patient during video editing and I also learnt that planning is very important during group projects. Last year I also worked in a team to make a documentary about Coronavirus which was very memorable. I’d like to improve on my editing skills as I’m still unfamiliar with some of premiere pro’s features. I’d also like to become more confident by putting my ideas forward and having more input in my group. I enjoy working in teams because group projects encourage creativity, and everyone’s skills are blended together to achieve success.
